Because
of the easy way that OMG's CORBA integrates machines from so many
vendors, with sizes ranging from mainframes through minis and desktops
to hand-helds and embedded systems, it is the middleware of choice
for large enterprises. One of its most important, as well most frequent,
uses is in servers that must handle large numbers of clients, at high
hit rates, with high reliability. CORBA works behind the scenes in
the data centers of many of the world's largest websites. Specializations
for scalability and fault-tolerance support real-time mission-critical
transaction processing systems such as the Bluefin Gateway.

Bluefin's network of VARs are Agents
focused on integrating Bluefin's Payment Acceptance Technologies
(PAT) with both legacy and leading-edge business systems to create
operational efficiencies and competitive advantages within specific
vertical markets.
VARs go one step further than Bluefin Agents in acquiring and maintaining
certification on the Bluefin Gateway Platform. VARs focus on specific
niche markets and become an extension of Bluefin's platform within
that market.
To become a VAR, contact agents@bluefin.com
and request "VAR Certification."
Bluefin VARs earn the "Bluefin Certified" designation
after a full application, company review, skills demonstration,
and Bluefin Integration Competency (BIC) review.
Bluefin VARs must prove integration experience with the Bluefin
Gateway Platform and provide referrals from successful customers.
While Bluefin VARs must choose a specific market niche for certification,
they may serve customers from the market at large. Please expect
4-6 weeks for the "Bluefin Certified" process to be completed.
