Phidiax, the leading solution provider of Microsoft Azure Cloud and Microsoft custom software applications, presented at today’s Microsoft AzureCon on “Azure Facades for Security – PCI/HIPPA.” AzureCon celebrates innovations that utilize the Azure platform to transform businesses at cloud speed and scale, across app development, data and IoT, and infrastructure.
The session discusses an approach for using the Web Apps feature in Azure App Service to provide secured Salesforce and payment processing in on-premises services. Phidiax teamed with Azure, Bluefin and Salesforce this year to integrate an online Health Insurance purchasing portal for a company utilizing Bluefin’s integrated Salesforce AppExchange product.
Using the learnings from the integration, the session details how to move security boundaries to the external edges of the environment, minimizing any surface area of attack, and how to use Salesforce in a HIPAA-compliant manner to reach existing on-premises applications. This approach is also a solution that extends to help ensure PCI compliance with payment processing systems like Bluefin.
