In May, healthcare patient payment and billing leader OnPlan Health partnered with Bluefin to provide clients with PCI-validated Point-to-Point Encryption (P2PE) through the OnPlan Health solution. The company has extended Bluefin’s P2PE solution to their OnPlanU platform, a student billing and payments solution for colleges and universities.
David King, OnPlanU’s Chief Technology Officer, along with University of California, San Diego Extension, will be presenting to more than 80 schools across the US at a webinar sponsored by the Professional Development Group II, Inc. (PDG) on Thursday, November 10, at 2:00 EDT. The presentation will focus on how to use point-to-point encryption (P2PE) on campus for in-person and over-the-phone transactions to reduce PCI scope. OnPlanU’s tuition management platform integrates Bluefin’s PCI-validated P2PE technology to ensure secure transaction processing across campuses. Bluefin and UCSD Extension partnered for a case study in April.
In just one year of implementation, UCSD Extension has seen significant savings and efficiencies
from the Bluefin P2PE solution.
- Annual $60,000 savings in PCI penetration scanning/testing resulting from a reduction in PCI scope to the SAQ P2PE-HW
- Reduction in IT infrastructure and staff to monitor and maintain compliant workstations
- Greater efficiencies across all departments resulting from the Bluefin solution’s ability to serve UCSD Extension’s mixed processing environment
