Chalkbucket Labs, the leading provider of gym management and athletic performance tracking software, and payment security solution leader Bluefin announced today that Bluefin’s QuickSwipe mobile payment system is now available to Chalkbucket Labs clients. This allows Chalkbucket’s clients to now accept payments on an iOS mobile phone or tablet, through a laptop or computer with Bluefin’s Virtual Terminal product, and online with Bluefin’s Ecommerce payment page.
Chalkbucket Labs’ cloud-based gym management and athletic performance tracking software platform features affiliate management, performance and training tracking, member billing, retail sales, membership management, and class/training scheduling.
Bluefin develops secure payment technologies for Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), Enterprises, Financial Institutions, and Small-Medium Sized Businesses (SMBs). In the ISV market, Bluefin integrates their PayConex payment platform into the ISV’s software, providing a seamless customer payment experience within the software interface. The integrated solution can include security features such as tokenization, transparent redirect and PCI-validated point-to-point encryption (P2PE).
“We introduced our software platform in October 2013 and wanted to offer the ability for our Gym Owners to take client payments without ever leaving the Chalkbucket platform,” said Steve Johnston, Founder, Chalkbucket Labs. “We chose to partner with Bluefin for integrated payments because they are a leader in payment security solutions but are also innovative in the products they develop – including the QuickSwipe mobile payment platform, which would enable our Gym Owners to take customer payments anytime, anywhere.”
The QuickSwipe mobile point of sale (POS) system allows Gym Owners to take payments on their iOS phone or tablet. And with QuickSwipe, Chalkbucket Labs clients can assign administrators and users, easily issue refunds, and provide detailed, GPS-driven receipts.
“Chalkbucket Labs is a leader in health and fitness software and we are very excited they have chosen to offer our mobile solution,” said John M. Perry, CEO of Bluefin. “Consumers today demand multiple payment options – whether they’re paying their personal trainer, shopping online or grabbing a morning coffee. With Chalkbucket Labs, their clients get a suite of secure payment options that span from the point of sale to mobile devices.”
Bluefin plans to introduce a PCI-validated point-to-point encryption (P2PE) solution for QuickSwipe in 4th quarter 2014, providing QuickSwipe mPOS users all of the security benefits of a PCI-validated P2PE solution through their mobile payment device. “P2PE is definitely a security feature that we anticipate adding to our current mobile processing as soon as it is available,” said Johnston.
