Bluefin welcomes seasoned payments and security executive with a proven track record in strategic sales and partnerships
Bluefin announced today the addition of Greg Cornwell to their senior management team. Greg will serve as Senior Vice President and Chief of Security Solutions, overseeing Bluefin’s Security Solutions team, which provides PCI-validated point-to-point encryption (P2PE) solutions, tokenization, and e-commerce security products to enterprises and Tier 1 and Tier 2 merchants.
In March 2014, Bluefin became the first North American-based company to receive PCI Security Standards Council (SSC) for their PayConex P2PE payment platform. The company now offers three PCI-validated P2PE products, including PayConex P2PE Enhanced Gateway; Decryptx, which enables P2PE for Enterprises and Tier 1/2 Merchants with no change to acquiring relationships; and the QuickSwipe mPOS P2PE solution.
“We are extremely excited to have Greg come on board with Bluefin,” said John M Perry, CEO. “Greg comes to us with a wealth of experience as a leader of multiple high-level organizations within the payment sector. Greg will have a solid and immediate impact on growing our client base while providing sales leadership in the Security Solutions team.”
Prior to joining Bluefin, Greg served as EVP of Sales at Accertify where he managed the U.S. and Latin America Sales Teams. Prior to Accertify, Greg served as EVP of National Sales for RBS Worldpay and Chase Paymentech where he managed National sales groups focused on everything from the card-not-present, retail, travel and entertainment industries, to the restaurant market sector.
“As the first North American-based company to receive PCI validation for a P2PE solution last March, and the first globally to receive validation for mobile P2PE in December 2014, Bluefin is truly on the forefront of innovation in payment security,” said Greg Cornwell, Chief of Security Solutions. “It’s an excellent time to join the company and I look forward to bringing my experience in retail sales and security to the Bluefin team.”
