Bluefin, the leading financial technology provider of integrated payment solutions for software vendors, announced that PayConex for Salesforce has launched on Salesforce.com’s AppExchange. PayConex for Salesforce enables users to easily add electronic payments, including debit and credit card processing, to their Salesforce account. Users will enjoy the benefits of integrated, cloud-based payment processing and security features that can greatly minimize PCI compliance requirements.
“Bluefin is the leader in providing highly secure payment technologies to SaaS companies and eCommerce merchants, so the development of a Salesforce app for our payment platform, PayConex, was an easy decision,” said John M. Perry, CEO of Bluefin. “More and more companies are moving toward ‘payments in the cloud’ and there is no better way to add processing to an application than through Salesforce.com. Now our partners will never need to leave the Salesforce app to run a payment.”
Bluefin’s PayConex for Salesforce app was designed with greater features than just one-time and recurring payments. With the addition of an encrypted keypad/magstripe reader, the app can be utilized to process Point-to-Point Encryption (P2PE) transactions. Cardholder data is encrypted in the reader and decrypted on Bluefin’s PayConex Platform. Since the reader can be used for both key entered and swiped data, this enables the solution to function as a Card Present (retail) point of sale terminal, meaning that users can “swipe” a transaction into Salesforce and qualify at card-present rates.
Additionally, any company using Salesforce to process payments in a call center environment can dramatically reduce their PCI footprint with PayConex. Since the cardholder data is encrypted in the device before entering the user’s computer, the potential for compromise is significantly reduced. This is a major step forward for companies seeking to eliminate the exposure caused by credit card data traversing their corporate computing assets.
“We have made the process for users to get PayConex very simple,” said Tim Barnett, CTO of Bluefin. “The free app can be downloaded from the Salesforce AppExchange and then our merchant account representative will sign the user up to begin processing.”
The PayConex for Salesforce App is the latest addition to the PayConex product Security Stack, which includes P2PE, transparent redirection, tokenization and hosted payment pages.
