Decryptx Provides Bluefin’s PCI-Validated Point-to-Point Encryption (P2PE) to Merchants Using the USAePay Gateway
February 9, 2016 – Atlanta, GA and Los Angeles, CA – Bluefin, the leading provider of PCI-validated Point-to-Point Encryption (P2PE) solutions for retail, healthcare and education, today announced that partner USAePay has enabled their first merchant for Decryptx, 3DRetro.
Decryptx, Bluefin’s Decryption as a Service (DaaS) product, provides all of the benefits of Bluefin’s PCI-validated P2PE solution suite on the USAePay platform. Merchants utilizing USAePay can get the security and scope reduction of PCI P2PE with no change to their gateway relationship.
“PCI-validated P2PE is extremely valuable to our merchants,” said Martin Drake, EVP, USAePay. “Not only does it prevent clear-text cardholder data from being available in the device or the merchant’s system where it could be exposed to malware, but merchants that implement P2PE throughout their POS environment are eligible for PCI’s 35-question SAQ P2PE-HW – a significant reduction from the 332-question SAQ D.”
USAePay offers merchants an array of different payment solutions for retail, e-commerce, and mobile through their payment gateway. USAePay clients have access to Bluefin’s PCI-validated P2PE for retail and call center operations through the USAePay gateway, with Bluefin managing the devices, key injection, shipping and chain of custody requirements.
“According to the Identity Theft Resource Center (ITRC), there have already been 53 data breaches and 1.3 million records exposed since the beginning of 2016,” said Greg Cornwell, Senior Vice President, Security Solutions at Bluefin. “PCI-validated P2PE solutions protect cardholder data by making it useless to fraudsters while also saving merchants time and money on their annual PCI audit. We are excited to offer our validated P2PE solution through trusted and established payment partners like USAePay.”
