CDE will serve as Bluefin’s newest P2PE Key Injection Facility (KIF)
and deployment partner.
January 26, 2016 – Atlanta, GA – Bluefin, the leading provider of PCI-validated Point-to-Point Encryption (P2PE) solutions for retail, healthcare and education, today announced a new partnership with audited encryption service organization (ESO) CDE. CDE will join Bluefin’s list of P2PE Key Injection Facilities (KIFs) for the company’s PCI-validated P2PE devices and provide deployment services to Bluefin clients and partners.
Bluefin became the first North-American based company to receive PCI validation for a P2PE solution in March 2014 and today offers P2PE products for Retail, Mobile, Kiosk/Unattended and Call Center environments.
P2PE solutions validated by the PCI Security Standards Council (SSC) have been fully vetted by a third party and adhere to rigorous key injection, chain of custody, device management, and hardware decryption standards.
“PCI-validated P2PE is predicated on injection of strong encryption keys by certified key injection facilities,” said Ruston Miles, Chief Innovation Officer, Bluefin. “Having an industry-leading KIF partner like CDE is integral to our business of providing P2PE devices in a secure and timely manner. We are excited to add CDE to our secure injection and fulfillment network. Merchants now have two national key injection and device fulfillment options with Bluefin, which is an industry first.”
Founded in 1989, CDE specializes in device enablement, management and security, with services including encryption, deployment and retrieval, procurement, and repair. The company serves a wide range of ISO’s, processors and merchants, with devices from Ingenico, Verifone, MagTek and ID Tech.
“We are very pleased to partner with Bluefin and provide services including encryption to their growing list of P2PE clients,” said Randy Siebold, VP of Business Development at CDE. “We see enormous value in the management and distribution of PCI-validated P2PE devices for Bluefin, as they are still one of only four providers of PCI-validated P2PE in North America and we are thrilled they have selected us to help facilitate their significant growth.”
