The case study details the growth of Main Squeeze Juice Company franchises, and the evolution of secure, integrated payment and data security with Bluefin
July 19, 2022 – Atlanta, GA and Lake Charles, Louisiana – Bluefin the recognized integrated payments leader in encryption and tokenization technologies to protect payments and sensitive data, has announced the issuance of a new case study with Bluefin partner and leading fast casual and smoothie bar franchiser Main Squeeze Juice Company.
Founded in 2017, Main Squeeze Juice Company caters to the $639B health and wellness industry with the company’s plant-powered, cold-pressed juices, superfood smoothies, wild-harvested acai and pitaya bowls and more. The company has 26 locations across the U.S. and more than 54 locations in various stages of development.
Main Squeeze Juice Company partnered with Bluefin for integrated payment processing in 2018, and today, the company has adopted Bluefin’s premier data and payment security solutions, including PCI-validated point-to-point encryption (P2PE) for POS payments and ShieldConex® for the immediate tokenization of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and payment information collected online.
“PCI-validated P2PE was a non-negotiable for us. We are a small business and one misstep with consumer data would jeopardize everything that we have worked so hard to build. So, the immediate encryption of card data in the payment terminal was key,” said Jessie Williams, Direct of IT and Franchise Recruiter for Main Squeeze. “We took the security aspect a step further with ShieldConex, which allows us to store a tokenized version of a user’s card information and data, which can only be detokenized through Bluefin’s PayConex platform and references a specific account.”
The case study overviews Main Squeeze Juice Company and its founding, company evolution and growth amidst COVID 19, the implementation of Bluefin integrated payments and the addition of P2PE and ShieldConex, customer benefits of the partnership, and future consumer payment preferences.
“Omnichannel was always part of our roadmap, but the pandemic expedited our desire to build a strong online presence,” said Williams. “Within fourteen days of the pandemic hitting, we were able to build and go live with a curbside pickup system for our customers to enjoy their orders without coming into the store. This immediately decreased face-to-face contact and allowed us to safely deliver the same high-quality menu items our customers have come to know and love.”
Morgan Jines, VP of Integrated Payments, added “Main Squeeze Juice Company is a picture of what everyday commerce will soon look like for our entire economy. With consumers’ shift in payment preferences moving toward convenience and personalization, it will be critical to protect a customer’s PII through advanced security solutions like ShieldConex. Main Squeeze Juice customers can enjoy their favorite organic smoothie or acai bowl by effortlessly adopting their preferred contactless payment method and picking it up curbside within minutes, knowing that their payments and data are secure.”
