Why is this? Well, cloud computing typically gets you more IT for the money, making it a perfect choice for industries on a budget. The study found that 40% of K-12 schools are turning to cloud computing for storage, 36% are using it for conferencing and collaboration services, and 33% are using cloud services for office and productivity tools. And the U.S. government recently introduced the first-ever federal cloud initiative that aims to lower IT expenses and consolidate federal data centers through the implementation of cloud-based applications. So how much longer until enterprises get into the cloud?
